I have been lending to real estate investors for the past 5 years. Prior to that, I was a borrower using private money to both acquire rental properties and flip homes.

This industry is all about relationships and building your network: lenders, contractors, agents, attorneys, insurance, etc. There a lots of pieces that each require an expert who is committed to your success!

This one is easy. Most of the failed projects I have seen are because the investor does something outside of their comfort zone. That may be too large scope of work, going to an unknown market, or getting involved in a new partnership. Find a lane, stick to it, and become the best. If the time comes for growth, find a mentor to guide you through unchartered territories.

I’m a big family, friend, and relationship guy. I like to see smiles around me and watch people succeed.

I grew up in North Caldwell, a small town in Essex County, NJ. I spent the first 20 years of my career grinding in out in the restaurant industry. After my wife and I got lucky and sold our group, we began investing in real estate. I eventually started lending money for the family office I was borrowing from and the rest is history. We are an outdoor family. Summers are spent on the boat, in the pool, and running around. Winters are for skiing and the warm-weather travel escapes.

Our adult men’s town softball team finished in 6th place out 9 this past year.
